Char Dham Yatra Darshan

Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri — the Himalayan Chhota Char Dham of Uttarakhand. We arrange the full circuit: darshan, helicopter and palki, stay and assistance.

The Chhota Char Dham of Uttarakhand — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — is the most beloved Himalayan pilgrimage circuit, traditionally undertaken from west to east. The shrines open around Akshaya Tritiya (late April / May) and close near Diwali, when winter seals the high passes. Two of the four are sources of India's holiest rivers, and Kedarnath is also one of the twelve Jyotirlingas.

The classic grand Char Dham named by Adi Shankaracharya spans the four corners of India — Badrinath (north), Rameswaram (south), Dwarka (west) and Puri (east); we arrange darshan across all of these too. The route below is the Uttarakhand circuit most pilgrims mean by "Char Dham yatra".

Plan early. Char Dham requires Uttarakhand's mandatory pilgrim e-registration, and helicopter and palki slots sell out fast in peak season. Message us well ahead and we'll handle registration, slots, stay and a comfortable pace for elders.

From e-registration to helicopter slots, stay and an elder-friendly pace — we arrange the whole circuit so you focus on darshan.

Frequently asked questions

When is the Char Dham open?
Roughly from Akshaya Tritiya (late April/May) until around Diwali (late October/November). Exact opening and closing dates are announced each year by the temple committees; we share them as soon as they're set.
Do I need to register for the Char Dham yatra?
Yes — Uttarakhand requires mandatory pilgrim registration (Char Dham Yatra registration) for all four shrines. We can complete this for you as part of the arrangement.
Is there a helicopter option for Kedarnath?
Yes. Helicopter services operate to Kedarnath from Phata, Sirsi and Guptkashi, and there are aerial Char Dham packages. Slots are limited and weather-dependent; early booking is essential.
Is the yatra suitable for senior citizens?
With the right planning, yes. We arrange helicopter, palki/pony and pithoo support, slower itineraries, comfortable stays and assisted entry. See our Senior Citizen Darshan page.
